macsvt has provided the cure for one of those heart stopping moments when you realise that your shiny paint has had a fall out with a bit of whatever at speed.

Its shit when that happens.
thoroughly clean the hole and then very gently & carefully with a bit of 1200 wet n dry rub around the edges careful not to spread any further than you have to to create a key-way and to reduce ridges.
When you are happy with it and it feels 'almost' smooth you need to apply primer, several brushed coats to use as a step builder (let it dry between applications) and then flat smoothe with water and wash up liquid.

Then apply black paint in several layers by brush allowing to dry properly in between and then leave till the next day.

Next day you will need some 2000 wet n dry some warm water and wash up liquid, GENTLY start to wet flat until it is level with the original paint and then use water n T-Cut to bring up the shine, polish out about 2-3 inches from the repair in order to blend then when it all looks the same apply wax and send me a pint !
